When thinking about pink stones, certain fancy gemstones come to mind such as pink sapphire, ruby, and certain types of garnet. There's also tourmaline, pink topaz, zircon, diamond, and spinel.

I usually work with semiprecious gems and natural stone beads. For the "rosy" pinks I like rhodochrosite and rhodonite. For barely there pinks, baby pink, and petal pink there is rose quartz, chalcedony, opal, morganite, and kunzite. For the "earthy" pinks I like to design with unakite (a…

I’ve been thinking a lot about pink these days. Wondering if the color psychology is true that pink can help you feel better. What do you think?

For my creative part, I’ve been drawn to pink stones lately, adding several new earrings to my shops that feature different pink gemstones. In this post, I’d like to introduce you to rhodochrosite.

Halloween is celebrated on October 31. Are you someone who embraces this holiday? Lots of folks I know enjoy planning their costumes, watching scary or humorous old movies with witches and the like, decorating their front porch, or having a seasonal treat. Halloween during my childhood was a fun time; trick or treating, bobbing for apples at a party, dressing up and having a gradeschool parade.

Halloween comes from…

Since my blog has languished for a while, I thought I should reintroduce myself and my studio to folks who happen to find me on the internet. If you’re a customer who has stayed with me from the start; thanks for hanging in there. It’s fun to have you along as I grow as an artist and jewelry business.

This October marks 8 years that Pebbles At My Feet has been offering handcrafted natural stone jewelry online.  I’m so very grateful to everyone who has purchased from me over the years…
