A pair of off-white and blue natural stone earrings, wire wrapped in darkened copper express a spring day in Colorado's high country. I was inspired by the beauty I see in the early spring landscape under brilliant blue skies around my home in Colorado. Here and there, a patch of months-old snow hides on the north facing hillocks and in the shade. Magnesite, all natural “dirty” white and brown plays those old snow patches brilliantly and K2 stone in azure blue is the perfect Colorado sky.
I used 14mm coin-shaped natural white magnesite, wired in solid copper along with an 8mm star cut K2 granite bead to make these Spring earrings. The two stone ornament is hung from my handcrafted copper ear wires. I love the look of natural magnesite, creamy white with streaks and veins of tan and brown. It's a beautiful companion to the K2 granite here.

These off-white and blue stone earrings measure 1 ⅝ inches long from the top of the ear hooks. Each earring weighs 2.7 grams.
