I used ~ 9 x 10mm flattish pebbles of Campitos mine turquoise. This mine in the Sonora region in Mexico yields beautiful turquoise resembling Sleeping Beauty Turquoise, and ranges from a light to medium blue, occasionally with pyrite inclusions, giving it a bit of sparkle. While these pebbles don’t show any pyrite, the mix of beautiful blue with tan sandy brown matrix lends a very natural, from the earth quality.
Simply wired on my handmade sterling silver floret headpins, these small wonders swing on handcrafted sterling silver ear wires. There is always room for dainty everyday earrings in your jewelry box.
